From Juliette (niece)

Aunt Shawna, I always felt like you were my second mom when I was growing up. It was so fun when we moved to Snowflake when I was in 4th grade and I had Uncle Norm as my school teacher. I loved that we got to live behind you guys in that trailer for a few months. I remember people always mixing up you and my mom because you both looked so much alike. 
I always felt loved by you, always!! You always amazed me at all you did to keep your family running and I was always amazed that every time I came to your home it was clean even with your big family. I'm especially blown away by that now that I have my own children and I see how hard it is to keep up on a home with kids running around.

Even when I was older and married I came and stayed with you one time in Snowflake with two of my kids Hailey and Noah when they were really young. It was a time where I needed your love as my second mom more then ever. It was when my mom and Dad were going through their hard time and mom was in Cottonwood for 9 months. I missed her so much so being with you and feeling your love for me was so soothing for me at that time. 
I could go on for pages and pages of good memories I have of you. It makes me want to be a better Aunt to my nieces and nephews. I don't even compare to the kind of Aunt to them that you were and are to me. I love all your kids and they are like my brothers and sisters, so giving and loving just like you. What an example you are to all of us!
