Mom,
When I think of a lifetime of memories with such a wonderful person, where do I start? My first recollection is the sound of your comforting voice as you held me in that checkered pink and white blanket. I loved hearing your voice especially when you sang alto in the ward choir or sang hymns in church. I learned how to sing alto by following you.
I remember you reading us bedtime stories. We loved to hear you read us bedtime stories. Many times they were from the Friend or other books. Quite often you would fall asleep reading us bedtime stories, but we loved it anyway.
I remember when I was a teenager you were the best listener. I would come home from High School and you would listen to me complain about boys or school work. You were always the best sounding board.
I remember you playing "Wish You Merry Christmas" on the piano on Christmas morning as we all sang it and walked into the living room. Another favorite was "We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet". You would play this on the piano to call us into the living room for devotional.
I have always looked up to your example of faithfulness and dedication. You truly are a woman of faith. I'm so grateful for the example you and Dad have set with your marriage.
I love you forever and I'm so grateful to call you Mother.
Love,
Holly
