My Dear Shawna, Mom, Words can’t even begin to
describe how I feel about you! First of all I feel so blessed to call you Mom
as your daughter in law. From the moment I met you you made me feel like
family! Not only are you a wonderful mother to my amazing husband and all the
other 9 of your children… You are also a wonderful mother to all of us who you
have taken under your wing and adopted into your family as well. We are also so
very blessed that our children get to call you Grandma! You are such a
wonderful, sweet, kind, loving, patient Grandma to them! You are also such a
sweet wife to Dad, always thinking of him, serving him, and showing him such
love. Truly you are an example to all of us! I am so grateful for you! I have
so many fond memories of you. One of the memories I have of you was when I got
engaged (not to Josh) and I came to tell you. You held me in your arms and
balled saying, “You were supposed to marry my Joshua!” I will never forget
that. I felt so loved in that moment you just have no idea. Of course… You were
right! And I did indeed marry your Joshua for which I am eternally grateful! I
have always felt so loved and supported by you. When not a lot of others did…
You always supported me in my dreams, goals, and aspirations. You always had
faith in and believed in me! That’s just who you are. You believe in people and
you see the good in others. You always make everyone feel loved and important.
You have a way of really reaching the one. I really admire this Christ-like
attribute about you. I have had the honor and privilege of getting to work with
you and to know you in a very special way. We have had some very amazing
experiences together! I am and will forever be so incredibly grateful for this.
I have truly felt of your deep
compassion for others and the incredible unconditional love you have for
everyone but especially your children! You are one of the most kind, loving,
nurturing, service- oriented, faithful, and dedicated women I have ever known. I
look up to you in so many ways! Now I am a pretty honest gal so I would be
leaving out something if I didn’t mention another thing about you… You
definitely have a very strong will. Now Mom this isn’t a bad thing. I mean it
can at times be trying but, you just remember it takes a strong will to be
living in these times and be following the Lord. It also takes a very strong
will and incredible courage to raise 10 beautiful children, rearing them in
righteousness, and to walk through the challenges you have walked through and
continue to walk through in your life. And believe me I have a deep respect for
that kind of strength! So I don’t say
you are strong willed in a bad way. I say it out of love and respect for the
strong and beautiful woman you are! I love you dear Shawna, my sweet Mother in
Law! I love you so much! You are such an example of stalwart faithfulness, obedience,
humility, patience, and long suffering. All of which are Christ-like
attributes! Thank you for who you are. This day is such a wonderful day to
celebrate! I am so grateful you were born! I’m so grateful for the life you
have lived and continue to live! I feel so blessed to know you and especially
blessed to be part of your family! I hope you have a very Happy Birthday and
that you feel so loved and so special as you have always made everyone around
you feel! All of my love,
Love, Always
Danni
